Harold Brown

Harold Brown is an acknowledged authority on franchising, both in the economic and legal contexts. He published his book, "Franchising - Realities & Remedies" in a second edition, following the original publication in 1973, which was in turn preceded by "Franchising: Trap for the Trusting" (Little, Brown & Co., 1969, 2d printing 1970).

In addition to his numerous law review articles, since 1972, he has contributed a monthly article on franchising to the N.Y.L.J., has frequently lectured for legal and business institutes, bar associations, and law schools and has testified as a franchise expert before numerous Congressional and state legislative bodies.

He has practiced law in Boston, Massachusetts, for over thirty years; is an active member of the American, Massachusetts, and Boston Bar Associations; a council member of the A.B.A. Franchise Forum Committee; and an editor or associate editor of several legal publications. Mr. Brown is a graduate of Yale University and the Harvard Law School
